Digital Downgrades was a logic experiment that involved the degradation of an on screen presence through lossy compression. Observing the new characteristics that emerged, I began questioning what features would have to be fully stripped down in order to actually change one’s digital identity. In addition I've been interested in the tangibility of identity and what makes up the physical characteristics of our computationally dictated representation.
